Have you noticed it’s nearly impossible to get ALL your physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual needs met during your prenatal medical visits? This is precisely why I’ve developed Bridge Care.
Holistic care that meets ALL your needs during pregnancy and postpartum should be standard. And it should be provided to all families. Unfortunately, even the best doctors and midwives are practicing within a medical system that makes it super hard to give you high quality comprehensive care. As a midwife, nurse practitioner and lactation consultant I’ve seen this firsthand, again and again. For over 12 years now, I’ve been the primary medical provider for thousands of families, and I’ve delivered nearly 1000 babies.
What’s become so clear to me is this:
THERE’S A GAP!
There’s the basic care that most families receive from their well-intending healthcare providers…
And there’s the holistic care families need and want.
Most likely, you’ve faced some of these frustrating realities during your pregnancy or postpartum period:
Time is limited. Your basic medical needs are met, but there’s little or no time to have your emotional and psychological needs fulfilled.
Your doctor’s or midwife’s agendas take priority. Often your own questions and concerns go unaddressed or dismissed.
One-size-fits-all type care. Care and information is standardized, which results in impersonal care that may not fit your needs.
There’s little continuity of care. You see a different doctor or midwife at each medical visit. It’s hard to get to know anyone too well and there’s no telling who will deliver your baby.
Resources and referrals are limited. Forcing you to turn to the unreliable internet for more information and additional services.
Community is lacking . It’s challenging to connect with other families going through similar experiences.
It’s clear your doctor is beholden to insurance companies & protocols. Your interactions with your doctor or midwife reveal that insurance companies and medico-legal requirements dictate your care.
Ok, so it’s clear that there’s a problem...
What’s the solution?
Simply put, Bridge Care is the solution!
